A Healthy Obsession With Social Media
I believe greatness stems from a deep obsession for whatever you are working towards. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I was using Instagram and I found myself deep in helpful filming, editing, and gym content. My whole feed was revamped, gone were all the useless sports, anime, and memes. Instead my algorithm which I know is supposed to keep me hooked, was feeding me with addictive content that would actually help me with my goals. This change in scenery couldn’t have come at a better time because I was really thinking about ditching the Internet for good so I could really improve my life. Now that I know just how useful social media can be I plan to fully immerse myself with content I aspire to create and be like. I want to become obsessed with becoming a content creator and a strong gym enthusiast who also does running and calisthenics. I feel like there is always two paths when it comes to social media, one is content addiction and information overload which paralysis you so you never achieve your goals and the other is tailoring you feed in such a way that you know what you want to consume and exactly how you plan on using all the content you’ve consumed to further your own cause. I plan to take the second option and soon I’ll be giving updates on here.
p.s- my first YouTube series is in the works it is looking at my experience with social media and how I plan to use it effectively and ultimately less so I can spend more time on something meaningful to me.
